1. The registration fee is non-refundable
Once your registration is complete, the registration fee is non-refundable and cannot be cancelled. There is no cooling-off period and no change-of-mind refund. Please be sure before you pay.
This is because of what the fee buys and when you receive it. Your registration is complete the moment you enter the verification code sent to your email address. At that instant, and automatically:
- your student account is created and your place on the programme is allocated;
- your internship acceptance letter is generated in your name and issued to you;
- where your college requires one, a consent letter is issued to your institution under our reference number; and
- your college is able to see and rely on your registration on its own records.
Those documents are dated, referenced and, in the ordinary course, immediately relied upon by your college. A letter that an institution has acted on cannot be withdrawn. The service is therefore fully delivered at the point of registration, not over the weeks that follow — which is why there is nothing left to return.
2. Money we return to you automatically
Section 1 is about a registration that succeeded. It does not let us keep money for something you never received. Where a charge should not stand, we return it without you having to ask.
If your payment did not go through
You create your account first and pay afterwards, so a payment that fails or is interrupted costs you nothing — your registration is saved and you can sign in and pay again whenever you are ready. Nothing is charged until a payment succeeds, and an incomplete payment never reaches us.
If you were charged twice
If you are charged more than once for the same registration, the extra charge is refunded in full as soon as it is identified, with no time limit. A duplicate charge is a payment error, not a purchase, and we never had a right to it. If you spot one before we do, write to us and we will deal with it.
Payments that failed
If money left your account but the payment shows as failed, it has not reached us. Your bank normally reverses this on its own within 5–7 working days. If it does not, contact us and we will trace it with Razorpay.
3. Exceptional circumstances
Nothing on this page prevents us from returning a fee where we conclude it is right to do so — for example if a payment was taken in error, if a fault of ours prevented your registration, or if we are unable to provide the programme you registered for. Where that happens we will refund you in full.
Equally, nothing in this policy limits or removes any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable law. If the law entitles you to a remedy, this page does not override it.
4. How refunds reach you
Refunds are always returned to the original payment method. We cannot send one to a different card, account or UPI ID — that is a restriction of the payment system, and it also protects you.
We initiate a refund within 2 working days of it becoming due, and immediately in the case of the automatic return described above. Once initiated, your bank or card issuer typically credits the money within 5–7 working days. That second period is controlled by your bank, not by us.
You are told by email whenever a refund is issued, and your receipt is reissued marked as refunded.
5. Who you paid, and who refunds you
The registration fee is received by Data Expert ICT, a sole proprietorship (Udyam UDYAM-BR-24-0044406), which operates this portal and issues any refund under this policy. The programme itself is provided and certified by Data Expert Technologies Pvt. Ltd., of Raj Nagar Part 2, Palam Colony, New Delhi.
This is why your statement shows Data Expert ICT rather than Data Expert Technologies. It is the same registration, and any refund returns by the same route.
6. Questions and complaints
If you believe you are owed a refund under section 2 or section 3, or you are unhappy with how a payment has been handled, write to info@dataexpert.net.in from the address you registered with, quoting your receipt number.
We acknowledge every complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 15 days, as required by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Complaints may be addressed to our Grievance Officer, V Kumar, at the same address.
